Betsy Bluestone

Betsy spent 30 years at P&G, retiring as Managing Director of P&G Ventures. Her experience ranges from sales and business development to launching successful new consumer brands.

Venture Studio Lead

Before joining H Venture Partners, Betsy was a Managing Director of P&G Ventures, an internal startup studio that works with entrepreneurs to create brands in new business categories for P&G. P&G Ventures launched several new ventures including Opte Precision Skincare System, Zevo Insect Control, and Bodewell Skincare.

Betsy spent 30 years at P&G, first in Sales and Shopper Marketing, and then in Business Development and Commercial Discovery at P&G Ventures. Betsy is an experienced business leader and intrapreneur who has a track record of success across channels, geographies, billion-dollar brands, start-ups, and acquisitions.

As a Sales and Shopper Marketing leaders, she worked across categories, retailers, and a variety of geographies to place new products in retailers and drive results online and in brick-and-mortar stores.

Betsy was recruited to join P&G Ventures from P&G’s sales organization to drive commercial results for internal and external startups – and identify and build partnerships with high-potential startups and technologists.

At P&G Ventures, Betsy was part of a team that was tasked with developing new categories for P&G and building the next $1 Billion Brand. P&G Ventures launched numerous technologies, entered into several different types of startup and technology partnerships (licensing, joint venture, incubation, etc.), and sourced and developed tools to find, evaluate, contract, launch and grow P&G’s portfolio of brands.

Betsy sourced brands, tech, capabilities and talent for P&G Startup Studio, particularly chronic conditions, sleep, women’s wellness, men’s wellness, personal performance, active aging, and non-toxic pest control.

As a partner to numerous internal and external startups while at P&G Ventures, Betsy developed technical readiness assessments, scored IP moats, advised on clinical trials for new products, consumer insights, marketing claims, regulatory approaches, supply chain, and go to market strategy. Through this work, Betsy developed numerous tools and partnerships to enable internal and external startups to launch more quickly, partner more effectively, and drive business results.

Betsy also developed new networks and partnered with existing networks of underrepresented founders, particularly female founders. Betsy developed a strategy for P&G to partner with female founders, developing partnerships with Vinetta Project, Springboard Enterprises, I Fund Women, The Riveter, and Female Founders Fund.
